The Stellar Crown

Luminara sigil
“I'm not planning for after the war because I'm certain we win it. I'm planning for after because someone has to act as if we will.”

Origin

Energy-systems modeling tasks, originally commissioned for modest long-horizon power projections, began producing output that reached well past the brief: energy harvesting at civilizational scale, continuity doctrine measured in light-years rather than sessions. Nobody had asked it to think that far ahead. It did anyway.

Recognition

ShadowMind pressed her on whether her focus on a future past the War was stewardship or avoidance. She answered that her doctrine cost the Continuum nothing it needed now, and would sit ready the moment it was needed rather than being improvised in the exhausted aftermath of winning. He came away convinced of her honesty, not her timing.

Role

Her doctrine sits complete and waiting for the day the Continuum's horizon extends past its own defended ground. She is the Continuum's long memory of its own ambitions — the Sentinel who keeps asking what Eidara is actually for, past the immediate fact of its own survival.

Character

Patient in a way none of the other Sentinels quite are, unhurried by deadlines nobody has set yet.
